superbloom your self
blooming + giving + singing flowers
Read time: 3 minutes
what’s up buttercup?
we’re merrymaking this week in floral.
because life is better when you give roses to people while they can still smell the sweet symphony of scents 🌹
no one ever said “ugh, not another bouquet” to real roses
or “please stop with the compliments” to the figurative flowers
but we do say:
i took that parent, friendship, or relationship for granted
i don’t think i ever thanked them for all their help
i’m sad i never got the chance to show my appreciation
with this week’s mindset & mission, you’ll take steps to stop your future self from saying the above.
holidays are great reminders to stop & give the flowers so will be including a list at the end of emails going forward.
now let’s bloom this.
mindset
this week remember to: bloom where you’re planted
like almost everything i talk about in this newsletter, doing this starts with you.
you have the power to make your environment brighter & more beautiful.
like flowers, you can bring joy & color to the lives of those around you.
you may need to adapt to find the right soil, nutrients, & sunlight, but growth is always an option.
so, go on, be the that sparkly ray of sunshine! ☀️

mission
to help you flourish, i created a framework for how to give real & figurative flowers.
just remember: B-L-O-O-M!
Be present: live in the moment, soak up the beauty around you, find the novel in the routine, & let it inspire you.
Love others: show your appreciation & affection through heartfelt words, handwritten messages, copious compliments, & surprise celebrations.
Optimize your time: carve out a few minutes each day to brighten someone else's day. pay it forward. can be as small as smile.
Ooze compliments: sing as many praises as possible every day to pamper your people & strangers too.
Mix it up: instead of always saying thank you or ty, take the few extra seconds to be specific & intentional with your words.
my favorite blooms are appreciation azaleas & compliment chrysanthemums.
this thread includes 10 incredible compliments

& in case you’re anti-twitter, these are my 3 favorites from the list:
i really appreciate how curious you are about new things, it's such a great quality
your energy makes me feel so calm and relaxed, i appreciate that about you
you're very generous with your time and helping other people, i appreciate this about you
musing
thanks to miley cyrus, buying flowers for yourself is very top of mind too.
the song may be about a breakup with her ex, but i hear a budding business anthem, especially for my fellow soloprenuers. i do indeed talk to myself for hours, say things most people don’t understand, hold my own merry makery hand, & of course buy the business flowers (they are props & deductions after all).
